Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled PCB Rework & Repair Technician to join a reputable company in California. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in PCB repair and rework, and who possess strong technical abilities in diagnosing and fixing circuit board failures. This position is 100% onsite and involves working closely with other technicians to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance of electronic components.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct PCB repair, rework, and troubleshooting with precision.
  • Repair failed circuit boards, ensuring effective rework rather than just assembly.
  • Utilize strong hand soldering skills on SMT and through-hole components.
  • Remove and replace electronic components without causing damage to the PCB.
  • Use a multimeter (DMM) to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with circuit boards.
  • Identify common PCB defects, including cold solder joints, bridges, opens, and damaged traces.
  • Work comfortably under a microscope to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Determine the root cause of board failures and implement effective repair solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB repair, rework, or electronics troubleshooting.
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Experience with PCB manufacturing or SMT manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read electronic schematics and utilize oscilloscopes and hot-air rework stations.
  • Experience with fine-pitch components, QFN, SOIC, and connectors is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience as a debug technician or in failure analysis is advantageous.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 1st shift.

The salary range for this position is $25 to $30 per hour. The role requires minimal travel, approximately 0% travel time.
